Fonti ufficiali College Board verificate il 09-05-2026. Il SAT attuale e il digital SAT: Reading and Writing 64 minuti in due moduli da 32 minuti, 54 domande; Math 70 minuti in due moduli da 35 minuti, 44 domande; totale 134 minuti e 98 domande. Il test usa un modello adattivo a moduli: il secondo modulo di ciascuna sezione dipende dalla performance nel primo. La maggior parte delle domande e a scelta multipla, ma alcune domande di matematica richiedono inserimento della risposta. Il punteggio non e un semplice +1 fisso per risposta: il modello digitale considera risposte corrette/errate, difficolta degli item e pattern di risposta; per gli studenti e comunque meglio rispondere/indovinare che lasciare in bianco. Non risultano graduatorie, immatricolazioni o ricorsi centralizzati propri del SAT; questi aspetti dipendono dalle singole universita.
